Hard Eight – Coppell Texas

The Hard Eight BBQ in Coppell offers some of the best Texas bbq you’ll taste.  Like many Texas bbq joints they serve food cafeteria style with meat served by weight.  Whether it’s for lunch or dinner it is not unusual to have to start your dining experience in a line that extends out the door.  The good news is that it moves quickly and your patience is rewarded with mouthwatering food.  They will have 3 or 4 smokers going almost continuously along with separate grills to cook special ordered foods.  In addition to the traditional Texas bbq fare they offer great sausage, corn on the cob, and baked potatoes.  The brisket is always tender requiring nothing more than a fork.  While sauce is available on the tables the ribs are rubbed with more of salt and pepper mixture then you would in most places outside of Texas, but are also delicious.  The seating area is large and their is a helpful staff to bring you anything you might have missed.   It’s great for family dining or with a group of friends.  If you are putting together a bbq adventure trip hitting great places across the country this needs to be on your list.
